At Design By Artist, we pride ourselves on our efficiency. Our goal is to get your art printed and shipped to you as quickly as possible. Because our products are made-to-order (printed specifically for you once the order is placed), our cancellation window is strictly limited.

Please read our cancellation terms below to understand how and when you can cancel your order.

1. CANCELLATION TIME FRAME (The “12-Hour Rule”)

You may cancel your order for a full refund within 12 hours of placing it.

  • Within 12 Hours: If you contact us within this window, we can stop the order before it reaches our production floor. We will process a full refund to your original payment method immediately.
  • After 12 Hours: After 12 hours, your order details are automatically synchronized with our printing facility, and the production process (printing, cutting, and packaging) begins. Once an order enters the production phase, we cannot cancel it, intercept it, or stop the shipment.

2. HOW TO REQUEST A CANCELLATION

To cancel your order, you must contact our Customer Support team immediately via email.

  • Subject Line: Please use the subject line: “CANCEL ORDER #[Your Order Number]” (e.g., CANCEL ORDER #12345).
  • Content: Please include your name and the reason for cancellation (optional, but helps us improve).

Note: Sending a message via social media (Facebook/Instagram) is not a guaranteed method of cancellation as we may not see it in time. Email is the official channel.

3. ORDER MODIFICATIONS (Changes to Address or Size)

If you need to make changes to your order, such as:

  • Updating the shipping address.
  • Changing the poster size.
  • Correcting a typo in your contact info.

You must request these changes within the same 12-hour window. After 12 hours, we cannot guarantee that we can update the shipping label or change the product size, as the data will have already been processed by our logistics partners.

Important: If you provide an incorrect address and do not update it within 12 hours, Design By Artist is not responsible for orders delivered to the wrong location or returned to us.

4. ACCIDENTAL DUPLICATE ORDERS

If you realized you accidentally placed the same order twice, please email us immediately. We will cancel and refund the duplicate order free of charge, provided the request is made before the item ships.

5. REFUND TIMELINE

If your cancellation request is approved (sent within the 12-hour window):

  • We will issue a refund immediately to your original method of payment (Credit Card, PayPal, etc.).
  • Please allow 5-10 business days for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund to your account. This duration depends on your bank’s processing times, not ours.

6. WHAT IF I MISSED THE CANCELLATION WINDOW?

If you missed the 12-hour window and your order is already on its way, you cannot cancel it. However, you are still covered by our Return & Refund Policy.

  • You will need to wait for the package to be delivered.
  • Once received, you may return the item to us in its original condition (unused and in the original tube).
  • Please note that for “change of mind” returns, you will be responsible for the return shipping costs.
